Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing completed a full shingle roof replacement for a home in Tampa, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood deck, revealing some areas of rotten wood that needed replacement. Following the wood repairs and decking re-nailing, a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was installed to provide lasting protection for the home.
Work Performed
This project involved a complete tear-off of the existing roof, including the removal of a double layer of roofing material. Rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We installed a peel-and-stick base sheet, stripping around the perimeter for added protection, and new drip edge. As part of the project, we performed custom chimney repairs, including new L flashing, counter flashing with 4300 sealer and screws, and new shingles around the chimney to match the roof.
