Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement for a home in Tampa, Florida. The project involved removing the existing shingle roof down to the wood deck and installing a completely new roofing system. We focused on providing a durable and weather-resistant roof to protect the home from the elements, common in the Tampa area, utilizing high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship.
Work Performed
The scope of work began with a complete tear-off of the old shingles. Any rotten wood decking was replaced, followed by re-nailing the existing decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. Next, we installed new peel and stick underlayment across the entire roof for enhanced protection and potential insurance discounts. Finally, new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, valley metal, and Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ shingles were installed, along with upgraded cobra ridge vents, ensuring proper attic ventilation. All penetrations were step sealed.
