Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement project in Riverview, Florida. The existing roof was showing its age and needed a complete overhaul. Our team meticulously removed the old shingles and underlayment, addressed any underlying wood damage, and installed a brand new, durable shingle roof system for the homeowner, ensuring decades of protection from the Florida elements. The project involved 34 squares of shingles (12070) and 5 bundles of ridge cap.
Work Performed
Our team began by carefully removing the old shingles down to the wood decking. Any rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We then installed new peel-and-stick in the valleys, followed by synthetic underlayment across the entire roof. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing at all tie-ins, and valley metal were also installed, topped with upgraded Omni Ridge vents to ensure proper attic ventilation. We also step sealed all penetrations in the roof for added protection.
