Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement project in Port Richey, Florida. The project involved removing the existing worn shingles and replacing damaged decking to provide a solid, secure base. We installed a brand new, durable shingle roof system, ensuring the home is protected from the elements for years to come. Work Performed
The scope of work for this Port Richey roof replacement included a complete tear-off of the old shingles down to the wood deck. We replaced 102 linear feet of 1x10 decking to address areas of rot and reinforced the existing decking by re-nailing with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. A new peel and stick underlayment was installed for superior water protection, followed by new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and flashing. The client chose Timberline HDZ high wind rated shingles, known for their lifetime warranty and 154mph wind resistance. Upgraded Omni ridge vents were also installed to ensure proper attic ventilation, a crucial aspect of roof longevity in Florida's climate.
