Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full tile roof replacement project in Port Charlotte, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking, which was inspected for damage. Any compromised wood was replaced to ensure a solid foundation for the new roofing system. The customer selected a beautiful new tile design to enhance their home's curb appeal.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the old roof. We then replaced five sheets of plywood and re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. Next, we installed Polyglass peel and stick underlayment with a cloth finish for superior protection. Finally, we installed 36 squares of new tile roofing and 3 squares of new ridge cap, secured with tile bond (for roofs with a 6/12 pitch or less, and new low profile tile attic vents to replace the off ridge vents.
