Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full tile roof replacement in Port Charlotte, Florida. The project involved removing the existing roof and installing a brand new tile roofing system chosen by the homeowner. This comprehensive project ensures lasting protection and enhanced curb appeal for the Port Charlotte home. The new roof is designed to withstand the harsh Florida climate.
Work Performed
The scope of work included a complete tear-off of the old roof down to the wood decking. Any damaged or rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We then installed Polyglass peel and stick underlayment with a cloth finish, along with new vents, drip edge, valley metal, flashing, ridge metal, and bird stop. The new tile roof was installed using tile bond on the 6/12 pitch surface, as per Armored Roofing's certification.
Why Choose Tile Roofing
Tile roofing is an excellent choice for Florida homes due to its durability and resistance to hurricane-force winds. Tile roofs offer exceptional longevity, often lasting for 50 years or more, and can also contribute to energy savings by reflecting sunlight and reducing heat absorption. The aesthetic appeal of tile also significantly enhances a home's value and curb appeal.
