Team Armored Roofing completed a full tile roof replacement for a home in Port Charlotte, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking. We then replaced any damaged wood before installing a brand new, durable tile roof chosen by the homeowner. The project involved meticulous attention to detail and high-quality materials to ensure lasting protection against the Florida elements.
Work Performed
Our team started by carefully removing the existing roof and replacing five sheets of plywood. We re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. Next, we installed Polyglass peel and stick underlayment with a cloth finish, followed by new vents, drip edge, valley metal, flashing at tie-ins, ridge metal, and bird stop. Finally, we installed 36 squares of new tile roofing with 3 squares of ridge cap, adhering to our tile bond certification for roofs with a 6/12 pitch or less.
