The project involved removing the existing, worn roof down to the wood decking and installing a brand new, durable tile roof chosen by the homeowner. This comprehensive replacement ensures the home is protected from the elements for years to come. The project included upgrading the attic ventilation with new low profile tile attic vents, replacing the off ridge vents.
Work Performed
Our skilled team began by carefully tearing off the old roof and inspecting the wood decking for any damage. We replaced five sheets of plywood and re-nailed the remaining decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. Next, we installed a new Polyglass peel and stick underlayment with a cloth finish for superior waterproofing. We also installed new vents, drip edge, valley metal, flashing at tie-ins, ridge metal, and bird stop before installing 36 squares of new tile and 3 squares of ridge cap using tile bond.
