Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full tile roof replacement project in Port Charlotte, Florida. The original roof was removed, and the underlying decking was prepared for a new tile system. Our team installed a premium tile roof to protect and beautify the home, providing long-lasting protection against the elements.
Work Performed
This project involved a complete tear-off of the existing roof down to the wood decking. We replaced five sheets of damaged plywood, re-nailing the remaining decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current Florida building codes. A new Polyglass peel and stick underlayment with cloth finish was installed, followed by new vents, drip edge, valley metal, flashing, ridge metal, and bird stop. The project included the installation of 36 squares of new tile and 3 squares of ridge cap, using tile bond, and new low profile tile attic vents to replace the off ridge vents.
