Project Overview
At 3105 Club Drive in Port Charlotte, Florida, Team Armored Roofing addressed issues with a tile roof that had suffered some damage. The project aimed to restore the roof's integrity and improve its ventilation. We carefully selected replacement tiles to match the existing roof, ensuring a seamless aesthetic. The project involved both tile replacement and ridge vent upgrades to enhance the roof's performance.
Work Performed
This tile roof repair involved several key steps. First, we carefully removed and replaced 14 broken tiles, securing them properly to prevent future issues. Next, we removed approximately 12 feet of existing ridge vents, sectioned into three 4-foot sections. We then installed new O'Hagan low-profile ridge vents in these three areas: two over the main living area and one over the garage, improving the attic's ventilation.
Why Choose Tile Roofing
Tile roofing is an excellent choice for Florida homes due to its durability and resistance to the elements. Tile roofs can withstand hurricane-force winds and are also fire-resistant, providing superior protection. Furthermore, tile's natural properties help regulate indoor temperatures, potentially leading to energy savings. The longevity of tile roofing also makes it a cost-effective choice in the long run.
