Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full tile roof replacement project in Palm Harbor, Florida, addressing a persistent leak in the rear valley of the existing roof. The project involved removing the old roofing system down to the wood decking and installing a brand-new, durable tile roof. The homeowners now have a beautiful, leak-free roof backed by our comprehensive warranty.
Work Performed
Our team began by protecting the leaking valley before the complete tear-off. We replaced approximately 20 sheets of damaged plywood and re-nailed the existing decking with 8D ring shank nails for code compliance. New Polyglass peel and stick underlayment with a cloth finish was installed, followed by new vents, chimney flashing, drip edge, valley metal, ridge metal, and bird stop. The new tile roof was installed with a rakeless edge color-matched to the existing trim and secured with tile bond, a method in which Armored Roofing is certified in. We replaced up to 30 linear feet of damaged fascia, allowing the homeowner to supply paint for a perfect color match.
