Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Palm Harbor, Florida, involving a full shingle roof replacement. The existing roof was showing its age and required a complete overhaul to ensure the home's protection from the elements. Our team tackled not only the roof itself but also addressed chimney flashing issues and other exterior maintenance needs to enhance the home's overall value and curb appeal.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the old shingles down to the wood decking. We replaced approximately 18 sheets (2700 sq ft) of rotted plywood, re-nailing the remaining decking with 8D ring shank nails. A new peel and stick underlayment was installed throughout the roof. The project also involved chimney repair that included new L flashing and counter flashing with multiple layers of sealant. To complete the roof replacement, we installed 69 shingle squares of Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, upgraded cobra ridge vents, new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, and new valley metal.
