Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement in New Port Richey, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the decking, and after addressing some areas of rotten wood, a complete new roofing system was installed. This project included upgrading the roof with a peel and stick underlayment and new Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles, chosen by the homeowner for their preferred color options.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the old shingles. We then replaced any rotten wood and re-nailed the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. Next, we installed a new peel and stick underlayment for enhanced protection and potential insurance discounts. Finally, we installed new Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ shingles, along with new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, valley metal, and upgraded cobra ridge vents. As a special touch, the flat roof tie-in points were repaired with CertainTeed modified granulated torch down roofing.
