Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement on a two-story home in New Port Richey, Florida. The project involved removing the existing roof down to the wood decking. We then meticulously prepared the surface for a new, durable, and aesthetically pleasing roofing system designed to withstand the Florida elements.
Work Performed
Our team began by tearing off the old shingles and replacing any rotten wood decking. The remaining decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We then installed peel and stick underlayment in the valleys, followed by synthetic underlayment across the entire roof. New lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing at all tie-ins, and valley metal were also installed before finishing with lifetime dimensional shingles in the homeowner's chosen color. Upgraded Omni ridge vents were installed and additional vents were added to ensure proper attic ventilation.
