Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full TPO roof replacement project in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. This project involved removing the existing roof down to the wood decking, addressing any underlying wood damage, and installing a brand new, durable TPO roofing system. The project also included intricate work with skylights, AC units, and railing systems to ensure a complete and seamless roofing solution for the homeowner.
Work Performed
The scope of work began with removing the old roof and replacing five sheets of plywood as well as re-nailing the existing decking with 8D ring shank nails. After repairs, we installed tapered or 1.5-2 inch foam board with 3-inch plates and screws every 16 inches. A new 60 mil GAF TPO rubber roofing system was installed, heat-welded at all seams. The project also included A/C removal and re-installation with aluminum stands, along with the replacement of several skylights, including filling in two skylights near Gulf Boulevard. Finally, the existing aluminum railing was removed, and reinstalled with new feet and screws after the new roof was completed.
