Team Armored Roofing completed a comprehensive roof replacement project in Holiday, Florida, addressing both a flat roof and a shingle roof on the property. The project involved a complete tear-off of the existing roofing systems, followed by thorough inspection and replacement of any compromised wood decking. The homeowners in Holiday now have a beautiful and secure new roof thanks to our expert team.
Work Performed
For the flat roof section (9 squares), the existing roof was removed down to the wood deck. Rotten wood was replaced as needed, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails. A peel-and-stick base sheet was installed, along with stripping around the perimeter, a new drip edge, and a new CertainTeed modified torch-down roofing system. On the shingle roof section (17.20 squares), the shingles were removed down to the wood deck. We installed new peel and stick underlayment throughout the roof, new lead pipe boot covers, new galvalume vents, new drip edge, new flashing, and new valley metal. The customer chose Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles and upgraded cobra ridge vents.
