Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement project in Dunedin, Florida, transforming an older roof with a brand new, durable standing seam metal system. This project involved not only the main roof but also flat roof sections on the rear and front porch of the home. The finished result is a beautiful, long-lasting roofing system designed to withstand the Florida elements, enhancing the home's curb appeal and providing lasting protection.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the existing roof down to the wood decking. Any damaged or rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current code requirements. A high-temperature peel and stick underlayment was installed for the metal roof portion. The crew then installed a Metal Systems striated panel system with 24-gauge, 16" wide Galvalume panels and 1" seams. The flat roof areas received a peel and stick base sheet and a new CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. Finally, new aluminum soffit was installed with careful custom-mitered corners.
