Team Armored Roofing recently completed a complex roofing project in Clearwater, Florida, involving a modified roof replacement with targeted repairs. The project encompassed multiple roof sections, including a dead valley, parapet wall, a pitched section, and a flat roof area, each requiring specific solutions. Our team expertly navigated these challenges to deliver a durable and weathertight roofing system for the homeowner.
Work Performed
Our team began by removing the existing roofing down to the wood deck in all affected areas. We addressed any rotten wood, re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet code. A peel and stick base sheet was installed, along with stripping around the perimeter for added wall flashing protection. New CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system was installed across the pitched and flat roof sections, as well as addressing the dead valley. This included upgrading to Omni roll ridge vents, replacing all boots and vents, and custom mitering all drip edges for a clean, professional finish. For the flat roof section, we installed a tapered system to create proper pitch and drainage.
