Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Valrico, Florida, involving the installation of a new standing seam metal roof and replacement of an existing skylight. The original roof was removed down to the wood decking, revealing some areas that required attention. The project culminated in a beautiful and durable new roof that will protect the home for years to come.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the old roof. Any compromised wood decking was replaced, and the remaining decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to ensure code compliance. We then installed a high-temperature peel and stick underlayment, followed by new drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, and vents. The new roof features a GULFCOAST GULFLOK STRIATED PANEL SYSTEM with 16" wide panels and 1" seams, finished in a striking terra cotta color. We also replaced an old skylight with a new shatter-resistant model featuring UV protection, ensuring a seamless and watertight integration with the new metal roof.
