Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a metal roof replacement project in Tampa, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the wood decking. We performed necessary woodwork and prepared the roof for the subsequent metal roofing installation, including a new dry-in system to protect the structure.
Work Performed
The scope of work included a complete tear-off of the existing roof. Any compromised or rotten wood decking was replaced, and the remaining decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to ensure code compliance. A new high-temperature peel and stick underlayment, specifically designed for metal roofs, was installed, along with new drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, and vents. The final step was preparing the roof for the standing seam metal roofing system.
