Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The existing roof was removed down to the decking. We addressed areas of rotten wood before installing a completely new, high-performance roofing system designed for long-term protection. The homeowner selected Timberline HDZ high wind rated shingles for a durable and attractive finish.
Work Performed
This project involved removing the old shingles, replacing any rotten wood, and re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet code. We installed new peel and stick underlayment for enhanced weather protection, along with new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, flashing, and valley metal. The roof was finished with 29 squares of Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles and 2 squares of ridge cap, plus upgraded cobra ridge vents were added to optimize attic ventilation.
