Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full standing seam metal roof replacement in Palm Harbor, Florida. The original roof was removed, and we addressed any damaged wood decking to ensure a solid foundation. The new roof provides enhanced protection and a modern aesthetic for this Palm Harbor home. This project included upgraded underlayment for maximum water resistance, a key factor in Florida's climate.
Work Performed
Our team started by tearing off the old roof and replacing five sheets of plywood before re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to bring it up to code. A new high-temperature peel and stick underlayment was installed to protect against moisture. New drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, vents, zee trim, and rake metal were installed to complete the system. Finally, we installed a new GULFCOAST GULFLOK STRIATED PANEL SYSTEM with 24-gauge, 16" wide panels and 1" seams.
Why Choose Metal Roofing
Standing seam metal roofing offers exceptional durability and longevity, making it a great investment for Florida homeowners. Metal roofs are known for their resistance to hurricane-force winds and hail, providing superior protection against severe weather. The reflective properties of metal also help reduce energy consumption by keeping your home cooler during the hot summer months and increase the curb appeal of your home.
