Project Overview
Team Armored Roofing completed a full roof replacement project in Palm Harbor, Florida, involving both a sloped roof and a flat roof section. The existing roofs were removed down to the wood decking, and all necessary repairs were made. A new DECRA metal roofing system was installed on the sloped portion, and a CertainTeed modified torch down system was installed on the flat roof, including a tapered system for proper drainage.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete tear-off of the existing roofing materials, followed by re-nailing the decking with 8D ring shank nails to meet code. New high-temperature peel and stick underlayment was installed for the metal roof, along with new drip edge, valley metal, and pipe covers. For the flat roof, a peel and stick base sheet and stripping were installed before applying the CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system. A new tapered system was also installed using 3-inch plates and proper screws every 16 inches. We also removed an old wood patio on the flat roof to facilitate the roof replacement.
