Team Armored Roofing recently completed a full shingle roof replacement in Orlando, Florida. The existing roof was showing its age, and the homeowner wanted a durable and attractive upgrade. Our team provided a complete tear-off and replacement, ensuring the new roof was built to last and withstand Florida's weather conditions. We replaced the entire roof for a 36-square home.
Work Performed
The project began with a complete removal of the old shingles down to the wood decking. Any rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails to meet current building codes. We installed new peel-and-stick underlayment for enhanced protection and potential insurance discounts, along with new lead pipe boot covers, galvalume vents, drip edge, and flashing. Finally, new Timberline lifetime GAF HDZ high wind rated shingles were installed and topped off with upgraded Omni ridge vents.
