The existing skylight was outdated and showing signs of wear, compromising its ability to properly seal the roof. Our team removed the old unit and installed a brand new, energy-efficient skylight, restoring the roof's integrity and enhancing the home's natural light.
Work Performed
The skylight replacement involved several key steps. First, the old skylight and surrounding aluminum roofing material were carefully removed. We then installed a new self-flashing skylight, featuring a flat glass finish and built-in UV protection with shatter-resistant glass. A new sealant was applied around the perimeter beneath the skylight to ensure a watertight seal, followed by the reinstallation of the surrounding aluminum roofing material to seamlessly integrate the new skylight.
