Team Armored Roofing recently completed a comprehensive roofing project in Belleair, Florida, addressing both a damaged standing seam metal roof and a flat roof on the garage. The existing metal roof required a full replacement due to age and wear, while the flat roof needed repairs and a new roofing system. We also addressed significant wood damage caused by tree impact, ensuring the structural integrity of the home.
Work Performed
Our team began by removing the existing roofing materials down to the wood decking. Any damaged or rotten wood was replaced, and the decking was re-nailed with 8D ring shank nails. We installed a high-temp peel and stick underlayment specifically designed for metal roofs, followed by new drip edge, valley metal, pipe covers, vents, and rake metal. A Metal Systems striated panel standing seam metal roofing system with 24-gauge, 16" wide panels was then installed. On the garage's flat roof, we installed a CertainTeed modified torch down roofing system following deck repairs and perimeter stripping.
