The chimney repair involved a multi-step process to ensure a long-lasting and effective solution. We began by removing the existing shingles around the back of the chimney. A small cricket was then constructed behind the chimney to properly divert water. New peel-and-stick underlayment was installed, followed by new L flashing secured with sealer and screws. Finally, new counter flashing was installed with 4300 sealer, screws, and rubber washers, topped with an additional layer of sealer. The project concluded with the installation of new shingles around the chimney, carefully matched to the existing roof for a seamless appearance.
